Alsace  has a very intense history: once German, once French, the Alsace population is very proud of its identity. The architecture and the local culture is quite distinct from the rest of France and we can feel the German influence. The region offers charming historic cities, a lovely countryside with many vineyards and impressive castles.

You will be seduced by Strasbourg and its beautiful historic center above the river, by the Alsatian Vineyard Route, a charming road perfect to go from one town to another stopping in vineyards to taste local wines, or by the Alsacian history with its castles and military remains, such as the Maginot line.

Alsace also has some of the most beautiful cathedrals and churches in Western Europe. The stunning Strasbourg Cathedral is a unique example of a mix of roman and gothic architecture and has the peculiarity of having one tower only and of being built with pink Vosges grès.
