Loire Valley

Loire Valley is famous for its splendid castles built between the 15th and 17th century, when the region was the favorite of  the French Kings and many noblemen who competed to build the most prestigious castles and gardens.

Among the most famous castles, we can mention the Château de Chenonceau, the Château de Chambord, the Château de Villandry, the Château de Blois or the Château Azay-le-Rideau, but there are many to visit.

If you are interested in French classic style, sumptuous architecture and beautiful gardens, then you definitely need to stay a few days in the region. You can organize full-day trips to visit the castles and gardens by bus, bike or even boat as many are located nearby the river.

There are also many charming towns to visit with their cathedrals, such as Amboise, Tours, Blois, Azay-le-Rideau, Angers etc. Some of them have been rewarded as "most beautiful French villages".

The region is also renown for its excellent wines, sparkling, white, red and rosé. The Chinon, Saumur or Vouvray are internationally famous.
